Established in 2010, the Faith Communities Council of Victoria (FCCV) is Victoria’s umbrella multifaith body. It is the successor to the Leaders of Faith Communities Forum, founded in 1995.

FCCV was created to contribute to the harmony of the Victorian community by promoting positive relations between people of different faiths and greater public knowledge and mutual understanding of the teachings, customs and practices of Victoria's diverse faith traditions.

Speaker: Sister Patricia Fox NDS

About the speaker: Sister Pat Fox joined the Sisters of Sion congregation in 1969. After some years in the church, she studied law and worked at the Footscray Community Legal Centre, Legal Aid and Broadmeadows Community Legal Centre.
She came to national prominence in November 2018, when she was deported from the Philippines for her role in documenting human rights violations, after having come to the attention of President Duterte,
Sister Fox first went to the Philippines in 1990. During her time in the country, she was active in the Diocesan Justice and Peace Group, as well as serving as both the Central Luzon co-ordinator and National co-ordinator of the Rural Missionaries of the Philippines. As a volunteer with the National Agricultural Workers Union, she helped document human rights violations as a result of the imposition of martial law in the Mindanao region in the south of the Philippines.
