Welcome to FCCV

Established in 2010, the Faith Communities Council of Victoria (FCCV) is Victoria’s umbrella multifaith body. It is the successor to the Leaders of Faith Communities Forum, founded in 1995.

FCCV was created to contribute to the harmony of the Victorian community by promoting positive relations between people of different faiths and greater public knowledge and mutual understanding of the teachings, customs and practices of Victoria's diverse faith traditions.

Science and Faith: Banyule Interfaith Network

From March 22, 2020 14:00 until March 22, 2020 17:00

Banyule Interfaith Network invites you to:

Science and Faith

Date: Sunday 22 March 2020      Time: 2pm to 5pm
Location: Ivanhoe Uniting Church, 19 Seddon St, Ivanhoe VIC 3079

Speakers from some of these faith groups:

  • Christian
  • Jewish 
  • Muslim
  • Baha'i
  • Hindu

4-6 speakers presenting for 5-10 minutes | Each will outline their story

  • what is MY faith
  • how MY education & faith interplayed in becoming a medical practitioner, a science doctorate etc
  • how MY faith is expressed in MY work
  • do contradictions ever arise and if so how I handle such contradictions.

Workshops in groups of 10 | break out into discussion groups for 30 minutes | then a reporting back before closure at 4pm
Afternoon tea will be served at 4pm
