The Faith Communities Council of Victoria, in association with the Bendigo Interfaith Council and the City of Greater Bendigo, would like to invite you to the 2017 Victorian Interfaith Networks Conference on Sunday, November 12th 2017 @ Ulumbarra Theatre.

About the Conference:

The Victorian Interfaith Networks Conference (VINC) is a grass-roots conference which aims to help build the capacity and sustainability of existing multifaith/interfaith networks, bring people up-to-date with current multifaith/interfaith matters and provide networking opportunities.

Date: Sunday, November 12th 2017   Time: 12:00pm - 4:30pm

LocationUlumbarra Theatre - 10 Gaol Rd, Bendigo VIC 3550  (see Google Maps location)

Schedule:

  • 12:00pm-1:25pm: Registration, networking, lunch and activities
  • 1:30pm-2:15pm: Honoured guests and keynote speech
  • 2:20pm-3:50pm: Workshops and plenary sessions (TBC)
  • 4:00pm-4:30pm: Summary & closing ceremony

Workshops & Plenary Sessions:

Enrolment for workshops and plenary sessions to be made on the day of event so please arrive early to enrol in your preferred workshop or session.

  • Workshop 1: Challenges for Interfaith Networks in Regional Victoria
  • Workshop 2: Educational Program for Schools - Understanding Religious Diversity
  • Workshop 3: Active bystander training to prevent violence against women
  • Workshop 4: Introductory Training Workshop for Emergencies Ministry

Registration:

Conference Related Events:
For people planning to travel to Bendigo for the weekend, a number of events are planned over the weekend (Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th of November) such as a Tour to Places of Worship around the City of Greater Bendigo and a Multicultural-Multifaith Concert. More information to be released 1st August 2017.

Travel to Venue:

Ulumbarra Theatre is located on Gaol Road, Bendigo, between the Tom Flood Sports Centre and Bendigo Senior Secondary College.

Ulumbarra Theatre is located approximately 150km north-west of Melbourne.

By Car:

By car estimated travelling time from Melbourne to Bendigo is 90 minutes, via the Calder Highway.

In and adjacent to the CBD of Bendigo there are more than 5000 public car parking spaces. The City offers a range of parking options both on and off street.

There are a number of new car parks in close proximity to Ulumbarra Theatre including Tom Flood Sports Centre, Barnard Street, Park Road, and QEO car parking behind the Capital Theatre and the Bendigo Art Gallery.

There is a disabled car parking zone adjacent to the venue and a drop off point immediately at the front of the venue for all Ulumbarra Theatre patrons.

The two ticketed multi-storey car parks located within a short walk of Ulumbarra Theatre are the Edward street multi storey car park and the Hargreaves street multi storey car park. See map below for locations.

By Train:

By train estimated travelling time from Melbourne to Bendigo is 90 minutes.

Ulumbarra Theatre is approximately a 15 minutes walk from Bendigo train station.

By Bus:

From Bendigo train station you can catch a number 3 or number 5 bus to the View Street arts prencinct, then take a short walk on to Ulumbarra Theatre via the Gaol Road extension which feeds from the QEO car park to the theatre's main entrance.
