Maroondah Interfaith Network invites you to:

In Pursuit of Happiness Seminar Series: Dealing with the challenges of life

Date: Saturday 22 February 2020     Time: 3pm to 5pm
Location: Janssen Spirituality Centre, 22 Woodvale Road, Boronia VIC 3155

While our backgrounds may be very different, there are common goals for all human beings. We want a life that is happy. We want to live in a society which is peaceful and harmonious.
The aim of these seminars is to explore what our different traditions and what science tells us as a basis for thinking through how to live a happy and fulfilling life. We will seek to find what is common and understand our differences.

People turn first to their friends and to music to deal with challenging times in life. For some people religious faith is also important. What truly helps us meet the challenges of daily living?

Prof. Philip Hughes will introduce the topic. Discussion will be facilitated by Norm Curry.

Panel members include:

  • Damian Gauci (Buddhist)
  • Rev Lucas Taylor (Protestant Christian)
  • Mary Dewberry (Psychologist)
  • Fr Thien Nguyen (Catholic Christian)

Following brief presentations from the panel members and discussion with them, there will be group discussion.
