 bvious Orthodox\, Reform and Conservative Jews there are a host of differe
 nt movements within Judaism that not only makes understanding the differen
 ces difficult for Jews but almost impossible for non-Jews. Come and hear R
 abbi Morgan throw light on the similarities and many differences between t
 he varying groups within Judaism and how these groups developed.\nEmeritus
  Senior Rabbi Fred Morgan was for several years a Lecturer in Religious St
 udies at the University of Bristol in the U.K\, before entering Leo Baeck 
 College in London to study for the rabbinate. Rabbi Morgan served North We
 st Surrey Synagogue in the UK for 13 years before taking up a position as 
 Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth Israel in Melbourne from which he retired in 2
 013. He has also held a number of other positions including Hon Associate 
 Rabbi of Sim Shalom Congregation in Budapest\, Hon President of the Counci
 l of Christians and Jews (Victoria)\, and Professorial Fellow in the Facul
 ty of Theology and Philosophy\, Australian Catholic University. His main r
 abbinic interests are the ways of midrash\, Jewish thought through the age
 s\, social justice and interfaith dialogue. He also delights in leading Je
 wish-themed tours and has introduced groups to Central and Eastern Europe\

 ry at 3pm.\nKiran Bali\, the Global Council Chair of the URI\, and Victor 
 Kazanjian\, Executive Director of the URI\, will attend the interfaith gat
 hering and speak on such themes as:\n\n    The importance of intercultural
  and inter-religious co-operation\n    Building interconnected communities
  committed to respect diversity\n    The nonviolent resolution of conflict
 \n    Fostering social\, political\, economic and environmental justice\n
