 or of Ethics in the School of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh. His
  research focuses principally on the interface between religion and ecolog
 y. His many publications include The Environment and Christian Ethics (Cam
 bridge: Cambridge University Press\, 1996)\, A Moral Climate: The Ethics o
 f Global Warming (New York: Orbis Books\, 2007) and Cuttlefish\, Clones an
 d Cluster Bombs: Preaching\, Politics and Ecology (London\, Darton Longman
  & Todd\, 2010). He is currently working on a number of projects including
  a book on the ethics of climate change for Cambridge University Press and
  a series of case studies of religion and ecology in the light of the pres
 ent extinction crisis which he intends to publish as The Ethics of Extinct
 ion. Professor Northcott has lived and worked in Malaysia as well as the U
 K\, and has been Visiting Professor at Duke University\, Dartmouth College
 \, Flinders University\, and the University of Malaya.\nThe newly created 
 Forum On Religion and Ecology@Monash is dedicated to promoting the study o
 f religious thought\, literature\, ethics and practice in relation to curr
 ent ecological concerns as a regional counterpart to FORE at Yale\, and wi
 th links to FORE in Canada\, the European Forum on Religion and the Enviro
