DESCRIPTION:Would your community organisation benefit from a more positive 
 media profile? Are you prepared to face the media if a crisis affects your
  community?\nThe Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship (OMAC) is
  offering an Intermediate Training Course to equip senior and up-and-comin
 g leaders from culturally and religiously diverse communities\, with the k
 now-how to advance their organisational and community interests\; and to e
 ffectively represent and promote their community to the media. The course 
 will be conducted in Melbourne over 3 sessions: Thursday 28th August\, Tue
 sday 4th September and Thursday 6th September 2012. Successful applicants 
 must attend all three sessions.\nThe Intermediate Training Course targets 
 people with some experience engaging the media\; as well as those who have
  no experience as yet\, but have an interest in learning more about this a
 rea. For some participants\, this course will be a sound introduction to t
 he world of the media. For others\, it will be a means of building on thei
 r initial experience and knowledge of the media. Participants will receive
  personal one-on-one advice and support from trainers\, materials and an i
 nterview evaluation DVD.\nApplications for expressions of interest will be
