 iversary will be opened by the Swinburne Vice Chancellor Professor Linda K
 ristjanson and addressed by Rev Dr Denham Grierson (FACE) - internationall
 y recognised educator and Emeritus Professor at the United Faculty of Theo
 logy –Melbourne. Denham will approach the event from a perspective that se
 eks to engage the academic community rather than bring a particular faith 
 perspective. His starts with the questions: Is there one God or many? Can 
 such a dispute be resolved? His topic: Listening to the sounds of silence 
 - a multi faith imperative.\nHis reflection engages the thought of Stephen
  Prothero - Boston University Professor of Religion and particularly his 2
 012 book God is Not One: The Eight Rival Religions That Run the World. Pro
 thero delves into the different problems and solutions that Islam\, Christ
 ianity\, Buddhism\, Judaism\, Confucianism\, Yoruba Religion\, Daoism and 
 Atheism strive to combat.\nGrierson grapples with the challenges of focuss
 ing on faith in a university context in a pluralist society.\nThe MFF was 
 opened in 2011 by Anglican Archbishop Philip Freier. Dr Deborah Wiseman (I
 nternational President of the Council of Christians &amp\; Jews) spoke in 
 2012 and Professor Abdullah Saeed (Head of Islamic Studies at Melbourne Un
 iversity) in 2013.\nThe celebration will be held at Swinburne University i
