 , but in 2002\, the 21st September became the yearly designated day\; Peop
 le usually celebrate within the week around this. The aim is to strengthen
  the ideals of peace across all nations and peoples &amp\; also to recogni
 se the efforts of individuals\, organisations and governments to end confl
 ict and promote peace.\nThe Geelong Interfaith Network and the City of Gre
 ater Geelong invite you to join hearts in prayers for peace and harmony fo
 r individuals\, each world nation and all life on earth.\nJoin a World Pea
 ce Flag Ceremony honouring individual countries with their flag\, followed
  by a Peace Walk procession around the city\, carrying the handmade flags 
 of each world nation.\nPlease feel free to network this event to all your 
 friends of peace\, spiritual groups and communities. All are very welcome.
