Interfaith Ceremony at the Shrine of Remembrance: Order of Australia Association

Order of Australia Association invites you to a National Conference Commemorative Service:

Location: Cenotaph Shrine of Remembrance - Birdwood Ave, Melbourne Victoria

The Shrine of Remembrance requests a Laying of Wreaths Ceremony at all services at the Shrine. On this basis, the following faith representatives will lay wreaths:

• Anglican - Bishop John Bayton AM
• Catholic - Bishop Hilton Deakin AM
• Muslim - Ekrem Ozyurek OAM
• Jewish - Rabbi Philip Heilbrunn OAM
• Indigenous Representative - Aunty Joy Wandin Murphy
• Order of Australia - David Mann OAM

Also present will be representatives from the following faith communities:

• Greek Orthodox - Bishop Ezekial
• Buddhist - Venerable Thich Phuoc Tan OAM
• Sikh - Gurdarshan Singh Gill
• Christian (Coptic Orthodox) - Father Ababoub Attalia
• Christian (Salvation Navy) - Major Michael Coleman

Ceremony includes Welcome to country, readings from sacred texts, navy band and guard march, laying of wreaths, last post and a minute's silence.

John Wertheimer AM, Governor, Shrine of Remembrance will give an address.

Point Cook airbase will provide a flypast as approximately 11.00am.
