Frankston Interfaith Network and Frankston City Council invite you to a film documentary:
Mary Meets Mohammad
Date: Thursday, 26th June 2014 Time: 1pm -3pm
Location: Ebdale Community Hub, 20 Ebdale St., Franskton (Melways 99, D12).
Come join us to watch the film documentay, 'Mary Meets Mohammad', followed by reflections and discussion as part of refugee week.
The film follows the arrival of Tasmania's first detention centre through the eyes of a local Christian woman and knitting club member Mary and Muslim Afghan Hazara asylum seeker Mohammad. It illustrate how sharing our culture, language, religion and beliefs with others creates intercultural understanding and how recognition of commonalties and differences leads to creating new and sometimes unexpected connections and relationships (http://marymeetsmohammad.com/wp/).
