Rabbi Avrohom Jacks is currently a member of the clergy team at the Melbourne Hebrew Congregation. Prior to this position, he was the Rabbi and spiritual leader of Congregation Zichron Kedoshim, a modern Orthodox community in Montreal, Canada. He held that position for 12 years. He is a wonderful storyteller who sprinkles his lectures with humor, interesting facts and highly relevant information.
Rev. Hans Christiansen is an Anglican Priest who currently works as Chaplain and Religious Education coordinator at Balcombe Grammar School in Mt Martha, Victoria where he teaches and writes curriculum with a special emphasis on multi-faith education. Hans is an Oblate in the Camaldolese Benedictine Order and continues to serve in the Anglican Church as spiritual director, supervisor and priest. Hans is the co-founder of the Mornington Peninsula Interfaith Network (MPIN). He has spoken at numerous interfaith events and facilitated several sessions at the Parliament of World Religions in Melbourne 2009. He is a member of the Australian Government’s Regional Interfaith Dialogue (RID) and an executive member of Religions for Peace (RfP) Australia.
Sheikh Ramy Najmeddine travels extensively through South East Asia in the cause of Islam and da’wah. His activities overseas include meeting his fellow Muslim brothers and sisters in their homes, giving talks and appearing at madrasa’s, orphanages, various public religious gatherings, and visiting various local scholars, Imams, teachers in the area. Sheikh Ramy is also one of two recognised Australian born Imams in Victoria, and has received traditional certification of transmission in the prophetic traditions from Sheikh-ul Islam Dr Muhammed Tahir al-Qadri a well-known scholar and founder of Minhaj ul Quran International, who is the author of the fatwa against terrorism.
