Join the Boroondara Interfaith Network and the Swinburne University multi-faith community to discuss our collective social values and challenges.
Date: Thursday 13 September 2012 Time: 6.00pm to 8.30pm
Location: Swinburne University Multi-Faith Facility - Level 3, The George Building, 34 Wakefield Street, Hawthorn
Presentations and forum dialogue will be led by prominent Australian human rights and social justice thinkers Linda Briskman and Mike Salvaris. Linda Briskman is Professor of Human Rights at the Swinburne Institute for Social Research. Her background is in social work and her research addresses the human rights of asylum seekers and Indigenous peoples. Mike Salvaris is Adjunct Professor at the School of Global Studies, Social Science and Planning, RMIT University. He is a long term participant and adviser in the OECD Global Project ‘Measuring the Progress of Societies’.
All are welcome to this free community event. A vegetarian supper will be provided
