Our Vision
The FCCV envisions a Victoria in which religious and spiritual communities are free to practice their faith traditions with integrity, whilst living in harmony with one another and the broader community, and contributing towards building a better society.

Our Mission & Approach
The FCCV was created to contribute to the harmony of the Victorian community by promoting positive relations between people of different faiths, and greater public knowledge and understanding of the teachings, customs and practices of Victoria's diverse faith traditions.

The FCCV believes that relationships between people of different faiths must be grounded in respect and understanding, which support the uniqueness of each faith tradition and encourage co-operative action.

The FCCV supports the right of individuals in Victoria to practice their religion freely and with integrity provided they abide by the state’s laws and do not incite religious hatred.

Our Objectives

● Develop resources that help promote positive multifaith relations
● Assist members and other organisations by helping them develop, strengthen and/or promote their multifaith initiatives
● Convene forums to discuss issues of shared concern, reflecting on both the distinctive aspects and the common ground of Victoria’s diverse faith traditions
● Provide a point of reference for government, media, or any interested person or group who wish to know more about multifaith initiatives in Victoria
● Organise multifaith events with member bodies and other multifaith organisations
● Foster collaborative service projects by faith communities on common issues such as the environment, social justice and poverty alleviation
● Promote education about diverse religions and spiritualities in Victorian schools
● Connect multifaith networks and organisations in Victoria to relevant bodies in other states, as well as nationally and internationally
● To create safe faith communities by providing education and training on harm prevention (ie family violence, child safety, gambling harm)
