The Kingston Interfaith Network joined in the celebrations at Globe to Globe World Music Festival on Australia Day with music, dancing and arts and craft. Held at Namatjira Park, Clayton South, Globe to Globe is an annual festival for the City of Kingston.
The Interfaith Network got into the spirit of world music with a silent disco where people of all ages danced the day away to gospel, hip hop and rock, or took time out listening to meditational chanting, hymns, drumming and other music. The Network also provided badge making, drawing and painting activities focusing on places of worship.
With approximately 5,000 people coming through the Globe to Globe festival, the silent disco was a great chance to introduce people to different faiths through new music experiences.
