Greenfaith ARRCC proudly presents the Victorian launch of Climate Action Kits - Resources for faith communities helping to turn concerns about climate into action.
The Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC), has completed three comprehensive Climate Action Kits for religious organisations; Christian, Jewish and Hindu, with the Muslim one to be published shortly and others to follow.
The Kits are guides to adherents of different religions in that they might understand the need for action on Climate Change and full of ideas for faith groups to take action - collectively and individually, locally and more widely, and also practical as well as political. Ideas for religious meetings and services, as well as services to its members and community.
Each Kit contains sources and texts, writings and sermon ideas from across that faith tradition addressing our religious responsibility to address climate change issues.
The Kits will be launched in Victoria on Tuesday, 8th April 2014 @ the Multicultural Hub by Dr Moss Cass who was part of Gough Whitlam’s 1972 Labor Government, and became Australia’s first Minister for the Environment and Conservation. Moss is believed to have been the first to state the now well-known environmental saying “We did not inherit our future from our ancestors, we have borrowed it from our children.”
