Sharing the widsom of marriage: COMMON

From September 21, 2013 18:00 until September 21, 2013 21:00

Centre of Melbourne Multifaith and Others Network (COMMON) presents:

Sharing the Wisdom of Marriage

Date: Saturday 21st September (International Day of Peace)   Time: 6pm-9pm

Location: East Melbourne Synagogue, 488 Albert Street East Melbourne (close to Parliament House)

Sharing different faith perspectives in the wisdom of marriage: Different faiths and spiritual traditions have a certain sanctity and wisdom within the institute of marriage. In today's society the wisdom is sometimes lost, and in many ceremonies the emphasis is on the rituals and celebrations around the marriage itself. Together we explore and reignite what marriage means and how to strengthen our marriage.

Keynote Speaker: Rabbi Dovid Gutnick will share with us the wisdom of marriage within the Jewish Faith including the Chuppah Ceremony. We will be part of the Havdalah Ceremony as the three stars rise in the sky. Various faith representatives will lead a panel discussing bringing in the various perspectives. We will have the opportunity to share together and it will be followed by a vegetarian Kosher meal.

This is a FREE event including dinner, but numbers are limited so please RSVP.

RSVP: Jessiee Kaur Singh on 0411 300 655, or email at jessieeks@hotmail.com

Please note: No camera phones or mobiles permitted until 6:53pm (after Sabbath)
