The Golden Rule across Faith Traditions

The Knox Inter-faith Network (www.knoxinterfaith.org.au ) is pleased to invite you to a free event entitled The Golden Rule across Faith Traditions from 2-5pm, on Sunday 22 April 2012.

The event will start with an overview on the Golden Rule by Dr Stewart Sharlow.

This will be followed by presentations on this topic from a Jewish, Muslim and Christian perspective by Dr John Levi, Mr Mehmet Ozalp and Dr Sr Mary Reaburn respectively.

A facilitated discussion will follow, led by Professor Joe Camilleri, Professor of International Relations and Director, Centre for Dialogue, La Trobe University.  This will consider the Golden Rule in general, with an exploration of the role of faith in the Palestine-Israel peace process.

The event will be held at the Ferntree Gully Uniting Church, 6 The Avenue, Ferntree Gully.  Should you wish to attend by public transport, this is a 2 minute walk from the Ferntree Gully Train Station.  Ample parking is also available on-site or in nearby streets.
