Welcome to FCCV

Established in 2010, the Faith Communities Council of Victoria (FCCV) is Victoria’s umbrella multifaith body. It is the successor to the Leaders of Faith Communities Forum, founded in 1995.

FCCV was created to contribute to the harmony of the Victorian community by promoting positive relations between people of different faiths and greater public knowledge and mutual understanding of the teachings, customs and practices of Victoria's diverse faith traditions.

Wyndham Multi-faith Dinner 2023: Wyndham Interfaith Network

Wyndham Interfaith Network invites you to:

Wyndham Multi-faith dinner 2023

Date: Wednesday 7 June 2023     Time: 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Location: Encore Event Centre, 80 Derrimut, Hoppers Crossing

Wyndham Interfaith Network and the Wyndham CEC will run the 2023 multi-faith dinner. It will give attention to the theme of Identity and Voice that is relevant to all faith communities as they support diversity and inclusion. The event will include displays from faith and first nations communities, contributions from elected leaders, cultural performances and a shared meal.

Our key note speaker Uncle Andrew Gardiner is a proud Wurundjeri clansman of the Woi-wurrung people and an Aboriginal Muslim Australian. He is a member of the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria is the independent and democratically elected body to represent Traditional Owners of Country.

The evening is sponsored by the Commonwealth Government and supported by Wyndham City. Joanne Ryan MP and the Mayor of Wyndham will speak. Other features of the program are displays, discussions, musical performances as well as the shared meal .

Our last large dinner in 2019 focused on harmony and attracted 340 people from several faiths and many cultural back grounds. Please see the 4-minute clip of the 2019 event that captures some of the flavour of the event  . We have had speakers from a variety of faiths and cultures over the years to share and celebrate diversity.
